Lizzy Rowe is an art historian who studied at the Courtauld Institute in London before joining English Heritage as a guidebook editor. She currently lives in Oxford where she teaches Art History in primary schools, as well as giving guided tours and talks.

Jeremy Cameron worked for 20 years as a probation officer in Walthamstow and went on to work for the probation staff trade union. He has undertaken many long-distance walks in the USA, Canada, India, Central America and Europe, and is the author of six crime novels and two books about his walks.

Richard Smethurst was Provost of Worcester College, Oxford, from 1991 until his retirement in 2011, and before that Director of the University’s Department for Continuing Education (1976–1986). He spent a period as a Deputy Chairman of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission (MMC) and has worked as an economist in HM Treasury and in the No 10 Policy Unit. Claudia Pazos-Alonso is Professor of Portuguese and Gender Studies at Oxford’s Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages and Senior Research Fellow at Wadham College. Her research studies include 19th- and 20th-century Portuguese and Brazilian literature, and literature from Portuguese-speaking Africa. Lena Salaymeh is British Academy Global Professor in the University of Oxford’s School of Global and Area Studies and Professor in the Section de Science Religieuses of the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Paris. Detective Inspector (retired) Nigel Howard – Current Fraud Trends in the UK
