Details: Time 2.00pm on the first Friday of the month. 

Before the year starts we decide on a central theme and each member selects a topic of interest to themselves – and (we hope!) of interest to the rest of the group.  A paper on that topic is then presented on an arranged date and a general discussion follows. 

The overall theme of 2017 is ‘The Involvement of Oxford in British Historical Events', with topics ranging from 'Oxford in the Anglo-Danish Wars' through to 'The Oxford Group (Moral Rearmament)'. Century’.  Subjects chosen so far range from ‘The South Sea Bubble’ to ‘The Rise of the East India Company’.
